What to do when you receive an error?
1) Document your error: Write down what messages you received or what
happened if no error message appeared. Write down how you created
the error or how it came about. (If you fill out a Error Report all
of the above will be covered.
2) Reboot your computer: Most errors occur when a part of your
operating system or application code becomes corrupted in memory.
Restarting your application does not necessarily fix theses
problems, most often they cause more random errors to come up. By
restarting your computer you allow your memory to be dumped and
then reloaded.
Backup and reload: Backup your member database (you should be familiar with
this… if not then you should get familiar with it). Reload Team Time
Trakker (this should replace all necessary files, not including data
files). If SETUP asks you if you want to replace a file that exists, allow
it too unless you have reason not too.
Review administrative settings: Enter administrative mode and check all of
the settings you have made (backup, reports…)
Error loading license: If you are having problems with a license file you
may need to re-copy TTRAKKER.LIC to your TTRAKKER directory. If you wanted
to change the name of your organization and you have already created a
member data base… you can’t. If you run into this problem read LICENSE.RTF
for more information.
Backed files and new licenses: If you updated your license with
THANKYOU.EXE and then restored a file that was created prior to the update
then you will need to run THANKYOU.EXE again.
Still have problems: e-mail (or mail) deepGreen your Error Report. For
faster results use e-mail and set your message subject to ΓÇ£Team Time
Trakker ERRORΓÇ¥. We will try to solve your problem and get you an answer as
soon as we can.
