  6. What to do when you receive an error?
  7.  
  8.      1) Document your error: Write down what messages you received or what
  9.         happened if no error message appeared.  Write down how you created
  10.         the error or how it came about. (If you fill out a Error Report all
  11.         of the above will be covered.
  12.      2) Reboot your computer: Most errors occur when a part of your
  13.         operating system or application code becomes corrupted in memory.
  14.         Restarting your application does not necessarily fix theses
  15.         problems, most often they cause more random errors to come up.  By
  16.         restarting your computer you allow your memory to be dumped and
  17.         then reloaded.
  18. Backup and reload: Backup your member database (you should be familiar with
  19. thisΓǪ if not then you should get familiar with it). Reload Team Time
  20. Trakker (this should replace all necessary files, not including data
  21. files).  If SETUP asks you if you want to replace a file that exists, allow
  22. it too unless you have reason not too.
  23. Review administrative settings: Enter administrative mode and check all of
  24. the settings you have made (backup, reportsΓǪ)
  25. Error loading license: If you are having problems with a license file you
  26. may need to re-copy TTRAKKER.LIC to your TTRAKKER directory.  If you wanted
  27. to change the name of your organization and you have already created a
  28. member data baseΓǪ you canΓÇÖt.  If you run into this problem read LICENSE.RTF
  29. for more information.
  30. Backed files and new licenses: If you updated your license with
  31. THANKYOU.EXE and then restored a file that was created prior to the update
  32. then you will need to run THANKYOU.EXE again.
  33. Still have problems: e-mail (or mail) deepGreen your Error Report.  For
  34. faster results use e-mail and set your message subject to ΓÇ£Team Time
  35. Trakker ERRORΓÇ¥.  We will try to solve your problem and get you an answer as
  36. soon as we can.
